wtf?  They only needed two entries on the com.  I didn't add that much editing.  >.>

Part 1 | Part 2

"Alright, Avengers. You've been dancing for three and a half months now. Which means it's time to put your skills to the test!" )
A Solid Connection
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own the Avengers movie-verse, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, Natasha Romanov, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, Thor, Pepper Potts.
Warnings: While this is not a story about depression, it is a part of one of the characters in this story. Also, some mentions of past drug use and dancing as life lessons.
Rating: PG-13
Summary:  Tony sets up team bonding night with dance lessons. If only Steve didn't have so many issues with dancing...
Thanks: Many thanks as always to narwhale_callin, who was the only person who understood the jokes on 'Victor' and Lizzie's names for the anon version.  At least someone got it and laughed over them, even if it's only my beta.  <3
Notes: This was originally written for [livejournal.com profile] kahn for the Cap-IM Fic Exchange.  The prompt was "Tony and Steve, dancing" and a more general request for team-as-family.  This may have gone overboard with the latter, but hey.  A few things before we start though.

One, Lizzie (Casey in the original posting), 'Victor' (Theodore in the original posting.  Yeah, I totally named him that just to call him Teddy.  XD ), and his gentleman friend all come from another set of fics of mine, It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing.  You do not have to read those fics to understand this one.  Technically, Lizzie is the only OC here (and I sadly couldn't go into her as much as I wanted to since it was an anon posting and a gift fic), with 'Victor' being the Master in disguise from Doctor Who and his gentleman friend being the Third Doctor.  If you are unfamiliar with Who though, no worries.  You don't need to know anything about them and there's no complicated back story for either of them.  I just couldn't resist bringing Lizzie and the Master back for more dancing adventures across time and space, and you can read them like you would most normal OC's.  Just realize only Lizzie is actually mine.

Two, a note on the dance. West Coast Swing is not the swing dance you are thinking of. If you thought Grease and other movies of the sort, you're thinking either East Coast Swing or Jitterbug, or a dance along those lines. West Coast Swing is a completely different dance. If you would like to see what it looks like, look up West Coast Swing on youtube. If you'd like a place to start, here's two videos of Jack and Jill competitions. Jack and Jill basically means you have no idea who your partner is or what music you'll be dancing to until your name gets called and they start the music. There's no choreography and it's all improv, which is what you'd see if you went out to a Westie club. Well, a Westie club that pro dancers are at. Anyway, have a more technical dance video ( http://youtu.be/Y3i6kyLLB2g ) and one video to show the versatility of WCS with music ( http://youtu.be/W1DUvrbrp7U?t=1m11s ).

Three, this mostly came about because while there are some good 'teach Steve to dance' fics out there, none of them quite satisfied the dancer in me.  This was probably an inevitable fic.  Kahn just gave me proper excuse to write it.

Last of all, please enjoy the fic!

Steve Rogers looked down at his book, trying - and failing - to make sense of the words. )
So [livejournal.com profile] nemaline was playing around with The Universal Mary Sue Litmus Test.  I asked her what she was talking about and she linked me, then I decided to run Lizzie Mathews through it to see if she passes.  XD  Here's how she held up.

So many of the questions didn't apply to her at all... )
Guys.  Guys.  I just.  I don't know how to deal with this.  I really don't.  THEY'RE FENCING ON TOKYO TOWER.  And the Master's TARDIS, good God.  I'm half-tempted to post this to b_e, but I don't know if this is a video everyone has already seen or not.

Seriously scarred for life right now.
Reflections (Previously known as Water)
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Delgado Master
Warnings: Actually, not much for this one...
Rating: G
Notes: Written for the [info]best_enemies 100 drabble challenge. The prompt was 'Water'.  I had actually meant to post this officially a while ago, but could never find the pictures of the stream that I wrote the non-Master reflections at.  Sadness, I know.  Anyway, enjoy it now, if belatedly?

~

Bending down at the stream, the Master let the cool water slide through his fingers mournfully as the sulight peeked out from the clouds. )
Let It Snow!
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.  Nor do I claim the 'Living Snow'.  That concept and the contest belong to Clamp.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, Jo Grant, the Brigadier.
Warnings: Cuteness?  And some crack.
Original Prompt: Okay, so after reading the second part of [livejournal.com profile] x_los' and [livejournal.com profile] bagheera_san's Christmas Crackers story, I realized that I have a burning NEED for more Doctor/Master snowball fights. Because that one was adorable and awesome, if brief.

I want the most epic, fluffy, over-the-top snowball war in the history of snowball wars, raging between the Doctor and the Master. Like, Calvin and Hobbes-level and beyond. Bonus points if UNIT and Jo are somehow involved as well.

Please anons! I need this like I need AIR.

Notes: Written for the [info]best_enemies anon kink meme. The original can be found here.  As stated, I'm also stealing the Living Snow from Clamp in xxxHolic.  Because it's more fun that way.
Thanks: Many thanks to [info]narwhale_callin for betaing this. I really should have posted this a while ago, but I've been lazy.  XD

It was a cold day, the kind that crept through UNIT HQ no matter how many heaters JO set up around the labs to keep warm. )

Red Handed

Red Handed
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master
Warnings: One hot and sexy Time Lord wearing his best color coming right at you.  But really, not much beyond that.  Oh, and it's unbetaed crack.
Rating: PG
Notes: Written for the [info]best_enemies 100 drabble challenge. The prompt was 'Red.'  Who looks good in red?  Three does.  Who notices this fact?  The Master.  XD  And yes, I do hate that green jacket...  I think this is the second time I've destroyed it?

The Master quite liked the Doctor's smoking jackets. )
Fickle Fortune
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Summary: The Master learns the hard way that luck does indeed have everything to do with competition dancing.
Characters: Delgado Master, Lizzie Matthews (not Borden...  XD)
Warnings: Lots of dancing and themes of suicide in the last bit.
Rating: PG-13 for the suicide themes
Notes: So I wrote this sequel to Lead and Follow, even though it didn't really need it.  Technically, it's not a sequel, since it takes place during the original fic, but still.  Normally, I wouldn't write a sequel just to have more of an OC, but people apparently wanted more.  Also, I've never actually been to Swing Diego, so all the convention bits are based off my memories of Dallas D.A.N.C.E. instead.
Thanks: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for betaing.  Hopefully, he is Sailor Moon villain-ish enough for you.
Dedication: For [livejournal.com profile] _rubber_chicken and Allonym, who both wanted more Lizzie.  You now have more Lizzie and Master dance adventures across time and space.

The Master was not overly impressed with this "Swing Diego" that Lizzie kept on about. )
The Master and Mrs. Pond
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters:  Delgado Master, Amy Pond, Third Doctor, Brigadier, Sergeant Benton.  A small bit of implied Doctor/Master.
Warnings: There is a lot of sheer and utter crack in this.  Also, some angst.  And some Master torture by the monster of the day, because I really do like beating him up for some reason.  Nothing he can't handle though.
Notes:  Part 2
Thanks: Many thanks to [info]narwhale_callin for betaing, even if she types at me in capslock on occasion.  XD  Also, for a bit of the dialogue concerning the monster of the day.  I say again though, this does not excuse you from writing your own drabble with it.  <3

The original fic, The Sea Devils and Mrs. Pond, can be found here.
Part 1 can be found here.

"I see someone has been enjoying themselves while I've been working." )
I don't really think this is Doctor/Master enough to post on b_e, which is sadness, since I think they'd enjoy it.  Ah, well.  Thoughts, flist?

The Master and Mrs. Pond
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters:  Delgado Master, Amy Pond, Third Doctor, Brigadier, Sergeant Benton.  A small bit of implied Doctor/Master.
Warnings: There is a lot of sheer and utter crack in this.  Also, some angst.  And some Master torture by the monster of the day, because I really do like beating him up for some reason.  Nothing he can't handle though.
Notes: So here is the highly anticipated sequel to The Sea Devils and Mrs. Pond.  Which, might I add, might have been written a lot quicker if  more people had told me they wanted it instead of waiting until the massive vote to let me know it was popular.  Just saying. ^_~

Hopefully, this will live up to everyone's expectations. It's split into two parts, since it's a bit too long to fit in one lj post.
Thanks: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for betaing, even if she types at me in capslock on occasion.  XD  Also, for a bit of the dialogue concerning the monster of the day.  I say again though, this does not excuse you from writing your own drabble with it.  <3

The original fic, The Sea Devils and Mrs. Pond, can be found here.

Amy was quite sick of being captured. )
So I just finished watching the recon of The Web of Fear. I have only one thought after this serial. Well, two, technically. The first being that six episodes was really too long for it, but this is nothing new with some of the older serials.

The main one, though, is that the universe is in serious need of a Web of Fear AU. There is no denying this. Honestly, why hasn't this been done before?

So I give you my epic plot bunny, though be warned, spoilers for the serial rest therein.

I seriously need fic of this. )
Self-Preservation
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Summary: Running for his life with the Master, the Doctor finds someone he just can't leave behind.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master/Simm Master
Warnings: More choking. Nar seems convinced I have a thing for it, but really it's just a convenient way to threaten people when they are unarmed. And it's much more immediately threatening and personal than say, a gun.
Notes: So I meant to get this up yesterday, but I kind of forgot. ^_^;;; Forgive me? Plus, the second part is where things really get going. If you liked the first bit, I think you'll like the second part even more.
Thanks: Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nemaline and [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for betaing this. Cy might have taken forever and a day with it, but I still love her. And Nar gets bonus points for putting up with me when I send her three four fics in one weekend.

Part One

The Doctor awoke to hands on his back gently rubbing out the tension in his shoulders. )
The Price of a Wish
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who or xxxHolic, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Delgado Master, Yuuko, Watanuki. Implied Delgado Master/Three
Warnings: Just a bit of me injuring the Master at the start. Nothing more than a few bruises, really.
Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] best_enemies drabble challenge. They were doing crossovers and I got tired of waiting for one that was plausible for me to write. So I took matters into my own hands and wrote one for xxxHolic. A Tsubasa Chronicle crossover is probably going to be coming as well, since I never was able to resist balancing the equation. That one doesn't seem like it'll have anything to do with the Master though (Three's wish has more to do with getting out of exile than anything to do with the Master), so it probably won't be posted to b_e.

Also, according to Cy, you don't actually have to know xxxHolic to understand the fic.
Time line: It takes place sometime just before the Dreaming arc (after Himawari and Doumeki become Yuuko's customers, which is hopefully a non-spoiler-y way of putting that as possible) in xxxHolic and sometime after Colony in Space for the Master.
Thanks: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin and [livejournal.com profile] nemaline for the beta. Nar for her usual excellent suggestions and Cy for being my guinea pig to make sure it made sense to someone who's never heard of xxxHolic. I love you both.

The Master's TARDIS veered off course. )
A Car with Character
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Bessie, Third Doctor/Delgado Master
Warnings: Just a bit of crack, really. Very short.
Original Prompt: You know how the automobile is somewhat infamous for hosting backseat shenanigans?

Three/Delgado!Master. BESSIE. Need I say more?

P.S. Optional: cheesy drive-in movie.
Bonus Points: the car wash.
Deluxe Bonus Points: told from Bessie's POV.

Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] best_enemies anon kink meme. The original can be found here. I figured since I know who the prompter was and the prompter now knows me, there's little point in keeping it secret.
Thanks: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nemaline for betaing this!

Bessie was a car with character. )
Self-Preservation
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Summary: Running for his life with the Master, the Doctor finds someone he just can't leave behind.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master/Simm Master
Warnings: This fic is part of a well balanced diet of angst and cuteness. The Master gets a bit beaten up (off screen abuse of the insane on backwater planets) and there is a small bit of violence towards the Doctor, but it's short. Just a bit of choking, really.
Notes: I wrote this ages ago and I finally get to post the fic! Yay! Actually, I really like this one a lot. The characterization really just snapped into place, especially in the second half. This fic is a two-parter, so expect the second half of the story in a week or so.
Thanks: Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nemaline and [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for betaing this. Cy might have taken forever and a day with it, but I still love her. And Nar gets bonus points for putting up with me when I send her three fics in one weekend.

You can read a semi-prequel for this fic with some really awesome art by [livejournal.com profile] pride1289 here: It's All Been Done Before

Running never ceased to be the one constant in the Doctor's life. )
Really, Livejournal? Really?

Okay, take two. For the record, I hate whatever they've done to the new editor. Because now you can't edit anything, even in html, without it getting completely fucked up in a way that apparently couldn't be fixed. I had to delete the last post and start a new one. Alright, alright, end rant... Sorry for everyone on my flist the non-working cuts.

So this is technically supposed to be a journal for fic. Except I feel the love for this novel needs to be spread and there's not really enough Master in this one for me to feel comfortable posting this over on b_e. Maybe if a few of my flist think it Relevant to Our Interests over there, I'll consider it. For now though, here is a review of Deadly Reunion by Terrance Dicks and Barry Letts.

Warning: Much fangirling past this cut. )

More indepth spoiler-ish bits )

Anyway, this got long. Very long. Just know, to sum up, the book is awesome and well worth reading. I might be able to... *cough*borrow*cough* the book out, if you catch my drift, if anyone wants to read it. Just let me know and I'll send it via email or something. Fair warning, I don't think a lot of time was spent on the pdf file, so there are a lot of typos and things. It can get bothersome at times.
Some mostly non-spoiler-ish excerpts )
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, Eighth Doctor, OC
Warnings:  The Master regains his dignity and more dancing.
Original Prompt: Three, Five, Eight or Eleven  Ballroom dancing.
Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] best_enemies anon meme.  Sadly, it's not actual ballroom dancing.  This is far more social dancing than ballroom, since it's West Coast Swing, but I'm a Westie more than a ballroom dancer.  Also, it's more of the Master learning to social dance than the Doctor dancing (though most of the fic is leading up to their big dance), but the Master had A Plot and who was I to argue with that?

There is an OC featured rather heavily in this fic.  This is largely because the Master kept insisting he needed a pretty, young thing to make the Doctor jealous with.  Hopefully, you'll enjoy her half as much as I enjoyed not having to keep a character from sounding like a valley girl.  XD
Thanks:  Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for the beta, even if you did want me to cut big portions of what I've written.  Although, it still apparently can't fit into one lj post.  -_-;;;  Also, sadly, she's still Lizzie Matthews.  <3
"Miss Matthews, may I have a word?" )
Lead and Follow
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, Eighth Doctor, OC
Warnings:  Lots of dancing and the Master's dignity takes a bit of a beating, but it's all in good fun.

Also, a note about West Coast Swing:  This is not the swing dance you're probably thinking of.  When you watch movies like Grease, you're seeing Jitterbug and East Coast Swing, which is a completely different dance.  West Coast is a lot smoother and done to more jazz and pop music.  It's also sexier.  <3
Thanks:  Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for the beta, even if you did want me to cut big portions of what I've written.  Although, it still apparently can't fit into one lj post.  -_-;;;

The Master sipped his brandy, watching the Doctor dance. )
The Name of the Game
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.   Nor do I own the concept of Dust, which I stole from Babylon 5 and beefed it up to make it new kinds of terrible.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, the Brigadier
Warnings:  Though my beta reader calls this condensed awesome, the real life drama this fic got caught up in still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  I dunno.  I just don't really like either of them.  Also, I'm pretty sure there is absolutely horrifically bad technobabble in this that would make my cousin who is earning her biomedical engineering degree cringe.  However, this is Three and Three era is known for bad science, so I think it fits.
Notes: This is a sequel to Foolish Games... except it's not a sequel at all.  Think of it like the two Fourth Doctor serials, Ark in Space and The Sontaran ExperimentArk in Space effectively sets up the reason for being there in The Sontaran Experiment but has little or nothing to do with the plot other than a few beginning remarks.  Without Foolish Games, this fic would have no reason for the Doctor being in this particular situation, but you don't really need to read the other fic in order to understand this one.  You can just take it as 'Events x in Serial A have caused Events y in Serial B, but really aren't that important' sort of backdrop and dive in.
Thanks: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for betaing this and telling me it was worth posting regardless of my issues with it.

"My Dear Lethbridge-Stewart, I'm quite certain it's not working. I wouldn't be trying to fix it otherwise." )
