Writer's Block: What a wonderful word
Oct. 16th, 2011 12:38 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]I've never actually answered one of these (though I do consider it from time to time), but I do have a favorite word that needs to be used more often. So here it is.
Defenestration - The act of throwing someone or something out the window.
Come on. Admit it. It's an awesome word. And the Doctor totally needs to do it to the Master at some point (or vice versa) when one or the other just gets frustrated with each other. Especially if it's just like when my Mother defenestrated her cousin. It was outside the first story window into the snow.
Also, in second place, "fwa." No, it's not actually a word. But it sort of "megaphones out of the mouth" as a friend of mine once described it. It's basically a statement of how awesome one is. Example: "Fwa. I just finished a brilliant fic!"
So as not to waste space, I thought I'd also ask something I've been mulling over for a while. Does anyone know a good place to get lj journal styles? I particularly like warm colors (reds and browns) and steam punk-ish styles, if you guys know of any. I've gotten kind of use to this sort of layout though... Also, I need a Brigadier icon. Like, seriously. Need is an understatement. So if anyone knows where I could find a few of those and who I give the credit to making them, I would much appreciate it.
