So I was reading an article on the Best and Worst companions of DW.  I disagreed with them.  Not only did they list Rose as the second best, but Nyssa was one of the wost?  Which, granted, I'm not that big a Nyssa fan, but she was far from the worst character on the show.  Plus WHAT'S WRONG WITH K-9?  Just because you hate him is no reason to put him on the list.  There was also one talking about the best and worst Doctors, which I may have disagreed greatly on the topic of Nine.  >.>

So here is my own list.  I will not be discussing the worst Doctors, because I'm rather fond of all of them despite my grumblings about Eight audios.  Besides, we all know my Doctor is Three.  But let's talk about companions, shall we?

Companions, Doctors, and other things. )
Guys.  Guys.  I just.  I don't know how to deal with this.  I really don't.  THEY'RE FENCING ON TOKYO TOWER.  And the Master's TARDIS, good God.  I'm half-tempted to post this to b_e, but I don't know if this is a video everyone has already seen or not.

Seriously scarred for life right now.
It's the kind of season that you really don't stop watching.  So yeah, we kinda watched half of a 22 episode season in one day.  It happens.  XD  Considering I've actually watched season three in one weekend before, that should tell you something.  It just gets good.  It also means I have a hell of a write up to do.  -_-;;;

I'll get the next five episodes in another post, since I doubt they'll all fit in one.  Ah, well.  Still, Season 3.  It's when it all starts to go to hell.  <3

Well, that's it for the third installment of Mrs. Pond and the Doctor.  I hope everyone enjoyed it!

The Ice Warriors and Mrs. Pond
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters:  Amy Pond, Third Doctor, Brigadier, Sergeant Benton, Ice Warriors.
Warnings: Amy's wrath at being captured yet again.  Nothing else too major this time though, unless you count awkward cliffhangers.
Rating: PG-13
Summary:  Amy is so through being captured.  It's the Doctor's turn this time, and the Brigadier is going to have to keep up if he's going to help her clear their names!
Notes: It's the end of the fic as we know it.  Hopefully, it was worth the wait.  Nar tells me it's the best ending of Amy-verse yet.
Thanks: Many thanks to narwhale_callin for betaing and putting up with my whining over how long it took to write.  <3

"I'm sorry," the Doctor said finally. "I don't appear to be the person you're waiting for." )
So yeah.  Today is Wednesday.  Sorry 'bout that.  I did mention Tuesdays were awkward?  I was exhausted and a little under the weather yesterday, so I decided to just post today.  Sorry again for being late.  Also, happy 4th to all my fellow Americans!

Notes: Good Lord, I hate Ice Warrior names.  I really, really do.  So awkward to type.  Also, this chapter is a bit longer than the others and the last one will be short.  Nar suggested a more conventional cliff-hanger that would give the chapters some semblance of similar length, but I ended up liking the chapter end better here.  More dramatic, I think.  Hopefully you'll forgive the lack of equality in the length and enjoy it anyway.

Summary:  Amy is so through being captured.  It's the Doctor's turn this time, and the Brigadier is going to have to keep up if he's going to help her clear their names!
Notes: And here we are, the third part of Amy-verse.  It took me so frickin' long to write, and it's finally over.  Well, not quite.  It's pretty long, so I've decided to post it in chapters.  Sadly, it wasn't written as a chapter fic.  It just got a heck of a lot longer than it was supposed to be. Basically, forgive the awkward cliffhangers, because they weren't actually meant to be cliffhangers.  Trust me, you got off easy.  These would be so much worse if I intended them that way, cause I enjoy writing them.  XD

There will be four chapters in all, and I should update once a week.  Provided I remember, which I don't always.  However, I'm sure Cy will help me remember this time.  XD

Let It Snow!
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.  Nor do I claim the 'Living Snow'.  That concept and the contest belong to Clamp.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, Jo Grant, the Brigadier.
Warnings: Cuteness?  And some crack.
Original Prompt: Okay, so after reading the second part of [livejournal.com profile] x_los' and [livejournal.com profile] bagheera_san's Christmas Crackers story, I realized that I have a burning NEED for more Doctor/Master snowball fights. Because that one was adorable and awesome, if brief.

I want the most epic, fluffy, over-the-top snowball war in the history of snowball wars, raging between the Doctor and the Master. Like, Calvin and Hobbes-level and beyond. Bonus points if UNIT and Jo are somehow involved as well.

Please anons! I need this like I need AIR.

Notes: Written for the [info]best_enemies anon kink meme. The original can be found here.  As stated, I'm also stealing the Living Snow from Clamp in xxxHolic.  Because it's more fun that way.
Thanks: Many thanks to [info]narwhale_callin for betaing this. I really should have posted this a while ago, but I've been lazy.  XD

It was a cold day, the kind that crept through UNIT HQ no matter how many heaters JO set up around the labs to keep warm. )
Strange Creatures
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters:  Third Doctor, Brigadier, Jo, Benton
Warnings: Hm...  It's a bit introspective.  That's it, really.  Also, I'm completely disregarding the whole Looming thing for this fic.
Notes: So, there was this Asexual Awareness week two weeks ago.  While I'm not asexual myself, I do have a few friends that are, so I decided to write fic for it.  Except, I was rather in the middle of something at the time and wanted to finish that first.  And then that something started getting really long.  Finally I just decided to take a break from that fic before things got angsty and wrote this one instead.  Because really, I needed more Brigadier in my life.  So here's my humble contribution, even if it's two weeks late (it would have been one week, but I got distracted by dancing and then sick, so I'm a bit late in actually posting it).  Hopefully it doesn't offend anyone who is actually asexual.
Thanks: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nemaline for the beta.  Yes, you know this was written for you.  And I do love you.  <3

Humans were among the strangest creatures that the Doctor had ever met. )
The Master and Mrs. Pond
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters:  Delgado Master, Amy Pond, Third Doctor, Brigadier, Sergeant Benton.  A small bit of implied Doctor/Master.
Warnings: There is a lot of sheer and utter crack in this.  Also, some angst.  And some Master torture by the monster of the day, because I really do like beating him up for some reason.  Nothing he can't handle though.
Notes:  Part 2
Thanks: Many thanks to [info]narwhale_callin for betaing, even if she types at me in capslock on occasion.  XD  Also, for a bit of the dialogue concerning the monster of the day.  I say again though, this does not excuse you from writing your own drabble with it.  <3

The original fic, The Sea Devils and Mrs. Pond, can be found here.
Part 1 can be found here.

I don't really think this is Doctor/Master enough to post on b_e, which is sadness, since I think they'd enjoy it.  Ah, well.  Thoughts, flist?

Notes: So here is the highly anticipated sequel to The Sea Devils and Mrs. Pond.  Which, might I add, might have been written a lot quicker if  more people had told me they wanted it instead of waiting until the massive vote to let me know it was popular.  Just saying. ^_~

Hopefully, this will live up to everyone's expectations. It's split into two parts, since it's a bit too long to fit in one lj post.

Amy was quite sick of being captured. )
So I just finished watching the recon of The Web of Fear. I have only one thought after this serial. Well, two, technically. The first being that six episodes was really too long for it, but this is nothing new with some of the older serials.

The main one, though, is that the universe is in serious need of a Web of Fear AU. There is no denying this. Honestly, why hasn't this been done before?

So I give you my epic plot bunny, though be warned, spoilers for the serial rest therein.

I seriously need fic of this. )
Really, Livejournal? Really?

Okay, take two. For the record, I hate whatever they've done to the new editor. Because now you can't edit anything, even in html, without it getting completely fucked up in a way that apparently couldn't be fixed. I had to delete the last post and start a new one. Alright, alright, end rant... Sorry for everyone on my flist the non-working cuts.

So this is technically supposed to be a journal for fic. Except I feel the love for this novel needs to be spread and there's not really enough Master in this one for me to feel comfortable posting this over on b_e. Maybe if a few of my flist think it Relevant to Our Interests over there, I'll consider it. For now though, here is a review of Deadly Reunion by Terrance Dicks and Barry Letts.

Warning: Much fangirling past this cut. )

More indepth spoiler-ish bits )

Anyway, this got long. Very long. Just know, to sum up, the book is awesome and well worth reading. I might be able to... *cough*borrow*cough* the book out, if you catch my drift, if anyone wants to read it. Just let me know and I'll send it via email or something. Fair warning, I don't think a lot of time was spent on the pdf file, so there are a lot of typos and things. It can get bothersome at times.
Some mostly non-spoiler-ish excerpts )
The Name of the Game
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.   Nor do I own the concept of Dust, which I stole from Babylon 5 and beefed it up to make it new kinds of terrible.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, the Brigadier
Warnings:  Though my beta reader calls this condensed awesome, the real life drama this fic got caught up in still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  I dunno.  I just don't really like either of them.  Also, I'm pretty sure there is absolutely horrifically bad technobabble in this that would make my cousin who is earning her biomedical engineering degree cringe.  However, this is Three and Three era is known for bad science, so I think it fits.
Notes: This is a sequel to Foolish Games... except it's not a sequel at all.  Think of it like the two Fourth Doctor serials, Ark in Space and The Sontaran ExperimentArk in Space effectively sets up the reason for being there in The Sontaran Experiment but has little or nothing to do with the plot other than a few beginning remarks.  Without Foolish Games, this fic would have no reason for the Doctor being in this particular situation, but you don't really need to read the other fic in order to understand this one.  You can just take it as 'Events x in Serial A have caused Events y in Serial B, but really aren't that important' sort of backdrop and dive in.
Thanks: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin for betaing this and telling me it was worth posting regardless of my issues with it.

Zombie Plan
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: Third Doctor/Delgado Master, Jo, the Brigadier
Warnings:  It's just silly, really, with a bit of angst thrown in for good measure.
Original Prompt: Three/Delgado. The Master has once again attempted to Summon Stuff, and it has once again gone wrong. Except that this time he was attempting necromancy, and as a result, a plague of zombies is sweeping England. He and the Doctor have to work together to overcome the zombie hordes. Extra points for Jo and the Brig, and as much crack as you can cram in at the seams.
Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] best_enemies anon meme. Original can be found here.  It was written for my wonderful [livejournal.com profile] nemaline for all the hard work she's done betaing and for being a great roleplay partner.  <3 I'm glad this fic met your expectations.
Thanks: A lot of thanks to my beta, [livejournal.com profile] narwhale_callin, for not only making this better, but also giving me an awesome ending line. Also, the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks is well worth the read!

The Master had to admit that this hadn't been one of his better plans to gain immortality. )
Without You
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: The Brigadier, Simm Master, Tenth Doctor
Warnings:  Ultimately under-preforming on slash and cuddling, but hopefully worth it anyway?
Original Prompt: The Doctor dies, permanently, and the Master somehow, accidentally ends up taking over his role of galactic saviour.
The Doctor comes back (don't care how) and the end up having awkward good guy sex.

Without You
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Characters: The Brigadier, Simm Master, Tenth Doctor
Warnings:  It's looooooooooooong.  And it's a gen fic without any real slash.  Oops.  Well, I did consider it but it was all like...  I'm doing this from the point of view of the Brigadier.  Sex is right out and since Ten is only in the ending, might as well just skip the slash all together.  Which probably wasn't the greatest idea considering I'm writing it for a kink meme of a slash community, but hey...  Like it anyway, please?
Original Prompt: The Doctor dies, permanently, and the Master somehow, accidentally ends up taking over his role of galactic saviour.

Author's thanks: Thanks once again to [livejournal.com profile] nemaline !  She took time out of her busy, busy schedule to get this betaed for me and I love her for it (even if she didn't notice I switched Kotoky's name to Brook at least five times... <3 ) !

Glove

Glove
By: Memory Dragon
Summary: The green-eyed monster can be very useful whilst catching megalomaniac Time Lords.
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Charaters: Three/Delgado Master, Brigadier, Jo
Warnings: It's short and a bit cracky...  Still, hopefully enjoyable?
Notes: This fic was spawned when I was reading The Face of the Enemy.  While most of the book I was rather unimpressed with, there was a scene where the Master gets the Brigadier and Ian captured.  He then proceeds to leave behind a gun right where the Brig can find it and adds one of his own gloves to tell him who it was from.  I started to wonder whatever became of that glove, and this fic was the result.  It's short and rather pointless, but hey...
Author's thanks:  Once again goes to [livejournal.com profile] nemaline for pointing out when I don't quite make sense.  I don't know what I'd do without her.
"Look, old chap, it wouldn't work." )
Another fic written for the anon meme, but a rather more serious one.  Well, I say serious and that middle part is awfully cracky...  ^_^;;;  Still, the ending is more serious, which is what really counts.  I do sort of like this one, despite the fact that the ending feels a bit rushed to me.  It was getting a bit too long in the end, sadly, so I cut it short.  Maybe I'll go back one day and fix it properly, but for right now I'll keep it as it is.  The fic is based around the DW novel The Dark Path, which you don't need to have read to understand the fic.  I merely mention because that's the back story of the Doctor/Master I'm using (aka, the Master was a fairly decent sort of guy before he was seduced to the dark side) and I've stolen a few lines from it.  Despite its faults, I do recommend the book if you're looking for some good Two and Delgado Master characterization.

Also, I've stolen a bit from Clamp about the two different kinds of memories.  But hey, wouldn't be the first time, right?

Rosemary and Time
By: Memory Dragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, nor do I make any claim to.
Warnings: Cracky middle bit and short ending...  And failed slash, considering I kept forgetting to add it.  -_-;;;  Ah, well.  I did try?
Orginal Prompt:  Any Doctor/Master, the Master with amnesia (Because the Doctor shouldn't be the only one who loses his memory all the time)
Author's Thanks: Thanks goes to Cy again, for letting me bounce ideas off her and betaing.  Also, many thanks to the original prompter for coming up with a good prompt.  <3
